Tahriq started training martial arts in 2019. His first interest was Krav Maga, and by coming to Elite Training Center, he was introduced to Muay Thai and BJJ in addition to Krav. Tahriq moved back to NYC during the pandemic and trained at Renzo Gracie in Manhattan where he trained BJJ under John Danaher and Mike Jamarillo and trained with the Muay Thai fight team under Joe Gallo. He returned to Elite in 2022 to continue his training under Brian Rauchbach and took on fighting in Muay Thai and kickboxing and is currently making a career out of it as well as running the Black House Muay Thai Competition team and teaching Muay Thai.
